This opportunity is for a Mechanical Engineer to support the operation of mission-critical mechanical systems across a growing portfolio of data center sites in the Rhine-Main region. Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site mechanical engineering support across a growing data centre campus portfolio in the Frankfurt Rhine-Main area
• Support the installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of mechanical systems including cooling, HVAC, chilled water, and associated infrastructure
• Monitor and maintain mechanical plant performance to ensure continuous, uninterrupted data centre operations
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve mechanical faults promptly to minimise risk to operational continuity
• Coordinate with construction, commissioning, and operations teams during new build and fit-out phases
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, maintenance records, and compliance reports
• Support the delivery of planned preventative maintenance programmes across all mechanical systems
• Liaise with contractors, equipment manufacturers, and specialist vendors on-site
• Contribute to continuous improvement of mechanical systems performance and energy efficiency in line with the company's sustainability commitments

Skills/Must have:

• Qualified Mechanical Engineer with a degree or equivalent technical qualification in mechanical engineering or a related discipline
• Proven hands-on experience in mechanical engineering within data centres, mission-critical facilities, industrial, or high-specification commercial environments
• Strong knowledge of cooling systems, HVAC, chilled water infrastructure, and associated mechanical plant
• Experience supporting or delivering commissioning and testing activities on mechanical systems
• Ability to work effectively on site in a fast-paced, operationally critical environment
• Strong technical problem-solving skills and a proactive, solution-oriented approach
• German working proficiency essential for site and stakeholder engagement
• EU citizenship required
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams

Salary:

• Up to €130,000 Dependant on experience
