Contract: Initial 6 months, with a strong opportunity for extension

Working Pattern: Monday–Friday

Day Rate: Competitive all-inclusive day rate, dependent on experience

The Opportunity

V7 Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced H&S Field Safety Officer to join a major pharmaceutical construction project in Frankfurt, Germany .

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced site-based H&S professional to join a large-scale project with a significant pipeline of work. The initial contract is for 6 months , with a further 2.5 years of work secured , meaning the contract is expected to be extended for the right person.

Key Responsibilities

As the H&S Field Safety Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation and management of health and safety across the site, working closely with the project management team, contractors and workforce.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing and implementing H&S procedures at site level
• Conducting regular site inspections and safety audits
• Reviewing RAMS and ensuring safe systems of work are implemented
• Implementing and managing Permit to Work systems
• Monitoring contractor compliance with project H&S requirements
• Leading and participating in weekly H&S meetings
• Identifying potential risks and implementing appropriate control measures
• Supporting incident reporting, investigation and corrective actions
• Promoting a strong safety culture across the project
• Working closely with site management and contractors to maintain high H&S standards

Requirements

• Strong experience working in a site-based H&S role on major construction projects
• Experience managing H&S on projects with workforces of up to 500 personnel
• Strong knowledge of site-level H&S implementation
• Experience with Permit to Work systems
• Strong RAMS review experience
• Experience conducting site inspections and audits
• Experience running or contributing to weekly H&S meetings
• Fluent German and English – essential
• Right to work in Germany – essential
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work confidently with contractors, site teams and project management
