Service Sales Account Manager

POSITION SUMMARYThe Service Sales Account Manager is a key position with responsibility for all aspects of Service Sales.The successful candidate will manage the growth of Vertiv’s service business covering Service Contract and Non-Contract sales. Furthermore, he or she supports business plans, long-term objectives and customer satisfaction goals. As Service is an extremely important revenue stream for Vertiv we are looking for a highly competent and ambitious individual who is able to actively grow the business.The role should be located in Germany (preferred in the area of Frankfurt)RESPONSIBILITIESIncrease Vertiv’s market share and meet/exceed the budget numbers in terms of Orders, Sales, GM in accordance with the company’s ethics and guidelinesActively manage and develop customer relationships to grow and maximize sales potentialIdentify, develop and actively sell Services such as Spare Parts, Repairs and Service Contracts to customers across the region Build growth plans for how to strengthen and mature customer relationshipsRepresent the company and its corporate values in its relationship with end users, facility management companies, contractors, resellers and suppliersMaintain and expand relationships and network with existing Vertiv relationshipsProactively develop leads, target prospects, key stakeholders and acquire new customersDefine customer needs that support Vertiv’s vision to drive additional opportunities that support pipeline growth with end users and accountsActively work with service sales support functions and collaborate with key stakeholders such as account managers to share account insights, opportunity identification and sales activitiesProvide, present and maintain thorough reporting on all aspects of service contract and non-contract orders, new business and penetration rateActive pipeline management including sales forecast.QUALIFICATIONSEngineering / technical understanding; preferred degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or business administrationStrong Service Sales background with 5+ years experience in critical support product applicationsAccount Management, Selling, influencing, negotiating and problem-solving skillsAbility to work proactively under own initiative, as well as in a team environmentSelf-Starter mentality with the ability to plan, organize and manage time effectivelyTeam player with the ability to organize and motivate yourselfStrong experience in building relationships with customersAbility to develop and execute strategic plansHigh level of goal orientation and a solution-oriented way of thinking and actingStrong presentation and communication skillsExperience in working in a matrix organization with remote support teamsCustomer focused with excellent customer service skillsLanguage skills:English at advanced level, German at native levelIT literate and advanced MS Office & CRM skillsDriving LicensePHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS ./.TIME TRAVEL REQUIREDRegular travel is required (50%)Travel, occasionally requiring overnight stays The successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.
