Due to the continued growth and success of our Data Centre business in Germany, we are seeking a Commercial Lead (m/f/d) to join our Frankfurt team and support a major data centre project. Please note that this is a full‑time, on‑site role based at the construction site.With a market leading client base and the opportunity to take the lead on strategic commissions and high-profile projects, this is an exciting time to join the business unit.Responsibilities:Act as the primary cost management liaison with client and other project stakeholdersResponsibility for pre and post-contract duties including preparation of cost estimates, procurement and tendering, contract administration, variation, final account, etc.Completing feasibility studies and writing procurement reportsEstimating and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost planTendering and procurement activity, including managing the pre-qualification stage, producing the tender list, preliminaries, tender analysis, tender report and compiling the contractual documentsTaking responsibility for timely and accurate cost checks and valuationsProducing monthly post contract cost reports and presenting them to the clientInterfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stagesParticipate effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processesPerform cost risk analysis and provide input into value engineering; negotiate and approve final accountsMaintain central feedback and learning on cost estimating from prospects and projects and contribute to updating of best practices in estimatingQualificationsDegree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related fieldA proven track record of delivering high quality cost management/quantity surveying services across the full project lifecycleExperience of leading cost management commissions for large construction projects of high complexityTechnical knowledge of Data centre or other related facility asset typesGood knowledge of all methods of construction and procurementExperienced with, or managing team that uses multiple estimating tools and applicationsStrong experience with spreadsheets and databasesCollaborative approach, able to develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, internally and externallyGood organization skills with the ability to multi-taskEnglish skills are required, fluent German language skills are preferred.Availability for fulltime on-site workAdditional InformationOur people share our Purpose and Values.
