It is primarily responsible for the group’s global research, development, and innovation in the “smart technology” division, covering key areas such as battery and energy management, electric drive systems, electronic control systems, intelligent driving, and smart manufacturing.
Its technology innovation center, located near Frankfurt Airport and established in 2018, is a critical part of the global R&D network. The center focuses on the development and implementation of high-end luxury electric vehicle models and next-generation mobility technologies. It plays a pivotal role in the fields of electrification and intelligent technologies and serves as a key driver of the group’s global technological advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the procurement process in the German local market, focusing on Marketing, Trade Marketing, and Logistics categories, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant sourcing of indirect goods and services aligned with local market standards and business needs.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments (Operations, Marketing, Sales, Finance, etc.) and local business units to understand purchasing requirements and ensure alignment with global strategies and local objectives.
- Identify and evaluate local and regional suppliers in areas such as transportation, storage, promotion, advertising, and events, assessing quality, reliability, cost efficiency, compliance capability, and sustainability.
- Negotiate supplier contracts to secure favorable terms regarding pricing, delivery timelines, quality standards, SLAs, and compliance with German and EU regulations.
- Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance against contracts and SLAs, and resolve issues or disputes promptly.
- Develop localized sourcing strategies to optimize costs and improve efficiency in supply chain and marketing procurement activities.
- Conduct market analysis and monitor automotive industry trends in Germany and the EU to identify improvement opportunities and maintain competitiveness.
- Participate in tender processes and proposal evaluations, ensuring purchasing activities meet requirements for quality, price, timelines, and compliance.
- Develop and refine localized procurement policies and procedures (including single-source strategies and supplier recommendation mechanisms) to ensure transparency, efficiency, and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of purchasing transactions and contracts in accordance with internal policies, German labor laws, and EU regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years procurement experience, including 3+ years in marketing-related categories (promotion, advertising, events, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Automotive industry experience is a strong plus; FMCG industry experience is also desirable.
Required Skills
- Proven track record in negotiating marketing-related procurement contracts and managing suppliers.
- Strong analytical ability, communication skills, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Fluency in English and German (mandatory); Chinese is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with procurement systems/tools.
- Knowledge of German and EU procurement regulations and local business practices is highly preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Automotive industry experience.
- Experience in the mass consumer goods sector.
