Network Engineer - Infrastructure

We are partnered with a fast-growing technology infrastructure provider specialising in high-performance bare-metal server and data centre solutions, trusted by thousands of enterprise customers worldwide. They operate a global footprint of data centers and network infrastructure that supports mission-critical workloads across sectors such as AI, gaming, blockchain, web3 and enterprise IT, delivering tailor-made dedicated server solutions with robust connectivity and 24/7 engineering support.

They are now looking for a Network Engineer to play a key role on the team working on the network design, support, and monitoring of their Juniper & Arista core network devices. You will be tasked with dynamic routing and supporting their customers through their own data-center located in Frankfurt.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain the network infrastructure within the data center facilities.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Arista and Juniper switches to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement network solutions that meet business needs.
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations.
• Implement and manage VLANs to segregate network traffic effectively.
• Configure and maintain Multi-Chassis Link Aggregation (MLAG) for redundancy and load balancing.
• Administer IP addressing and subnetting schemes to support efficient network operations.
• Provide support for basic BGP routing configurations, as needed.
• Conduct regular network audits and ensure compliance with industry best practices and security standards.

Skills/Must have:

• Solid understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, and routing protocols
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIP) would be a plus.
• Understanding of BGP and its role in data center networking.
• Familiarity with MLAG and its implementation in a data center environment.
• Juniper/Arista/Cisco Experience
