Project Director (Mechanical) - Data Centre ProjectReporting to the Executive Director of Data Centres, this role is on a 27MW hyperscale data centre approximately 25 minutes from Frankfurt airport. The key responsibilities & requirements are outlined below.Key Operational ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with the business's Quality, Safety and Environmental systems, policies, procedures and Health & Safety requirements.Lead the operational delivery of data centre projects across Europe - managing site teams, standards, people management and project execution from pre-construction through to completion.Develop and manage procurement strategy, programme, subcontract/order packages, technical submittals and contractor design deliverables.Own planning, programming, forecasting, reporting, cost control, budgeting, value engineering and financial performance across projects.Manage design review, coordination, installation, commissioning and O&M close-out documentation, ensuring works are fit for purpose, delivered on time, within budget and to quality standard.Oversee labour, materials, plant movement, site operations and resource planning to protect programme milestones and avoid delay or corrective action.Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors and project stakeholders, maintaining accurate records and regular progress reporting.Manage project variations, monthly valuations, commercial reporting and successful project close-out to budgeted profit levels.Lead and attend project, design and progress meetings, ensuring effective communication, coordination and delivery against deadlines and milestones.Carry out additional duties as directed in support of project and business requirements.RequirementsMechanical-related HNC, degree or equivalent.10+ years' relevant experience.Self-motivated, with the ability to use initiative, prioritise workload, multitask and work effectively under pressure.Strong organisational, time-management and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to technical detail.Effective written and verbal communicator with strong presentation and influencing skills.Confident building professional relationships across all levels of staff, both on site and in the office.Responsible, proactive and positive, with a strong "can do" attitude.Discipline(s): Data Centre, TechnologyJob type: Permanent
