Medical Strategy Lead , Oncology-Clinical Development (m/w/d)
IQVIA seeks an oncology medical director to provide strategic clinical expertise for the Hematology-Oncology Center of Excellence. The role involves early customer engagement, proposal development, protocol review, and guidance throughout clinical trial lifecycles, reporting to the therapeutic area head.
Responsibilities
- Provide scientific and clinical advice on protocol design, investigational product mechanisms, and regulatory feasibility
- Participate in customer meetings including early engagement, proposal discussions, and bid defense activities
- Monitor latest hematology-oncology literature and maintain awareness of competitive landscape and standards of care
- Coach project teams on medical strategy alignment and serve as internal consultant throughout clinical trial lifecycles
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders across business development, operations, and other centers of excellence
Requirements
- MD in oncology with hematology training or solid tumor expertise preferred
- Board-certified in oncology
- Minimum five to seven years of relevant oncology experience
- At least three years of biopharmaceutical industry experience
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English
- Strategic thinking with solid business acumen and financial confidence
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
