Senior Development Engineer Java EE (w/m/d)

Your Tasks

• You design and develop IT solutions with a focus on microservice and private cloud architectures
• You take ownership across the full software development lifecycle – from analysis and solution design to implementation, testing, and documentation
• You apply test-driven development and drive automation of functional, integration, and regression tests
• You ensure compliance with governance and security requirements
• You actively contribute to build and deployment processes and continuously improve them
• You collaborate closely with IT, business stakeholders, and external service providers
• You contribute to software quality through best practices and quality assurance measures
• You analyze incidents and problems and deliver sustainable solutions

Your Profile

• Degree in a STEM field, economics, or a comparable qualification
• Strong knowledge of Java and common frameworks such as Spring (Boot) and Hibernate
• Experience with synchronous and asynchronous communication protocols (e.g. REST/ Kafka)
• Confident with build tools, version control systems, and CI/CD processes, ideally in an Azure environment
• Hands-on experience in test automation (implementation and operation)
• Experience working in agile environments, e.g. Scrum
• Structured, goal-oriented, and solution-driven working style
• Strong communication skills and team mindset
• High willingness to learn and develop further
• Good English skills, both written and spoken
