Job Description

Contract & Commercial Management 

• Lead the contractual oversight of M&E construction projects. 

• Review, negotiate, and manage contract terms to mitigate risk and maximise commercial outcomes. 

• Ensure full compliance with contractual obligations, client requirements, and company standards. 

• Manage claims, variations, disputes, and commercial reporting. 

• Oversee procurement strategies, subcontractor negotiations, and supply-chain performance. 

Project Delivery Leadership 

• Work closely with Project Directors, Project Managers, and Engineering teams to ensure project targets are met. 

• Monitor project progress, budget, and programme to ensure on time and on budget delivery. 

• Anticipate issues, implement corrective actions, and ensure strong risk management processes. 

• Oversee change control, cost forecasting, and financial performance across multiple work packages. 

Client & Stakeholder Management 

• Primary commercial point of contact for clients, consultants, and key stakeholders. 

• Build and maintain strong client relationships that support repeat business and long term partnerships. 

• Lead progress meetings and provide high quality commercial reporting and updates. 

Team Leadership 

• Provide direction and mentorship to commercial staff, QS teams, and project leads. 

• Promote best practices in contract management, commercial governance, and cost control. 

• Support company growth by driving continuous improvement and high standards across all projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in contract or commercial management within the construction or MEP sector.

• Strong background in M&E contracting, preferably with experience in data centres or similarly complex technical sectors.

• Excellent knowledge of contractual frameworks (e.g., NEC, FIDIC, or equivalent).

• Strong negotiation, communication, and stake holder management skills.

• Ability to work in fast paced environments with demanding schedules and technical challenges.

• Experience working internationally or with multinational clients is an advantage.

• Trade or Engineering qualification Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
