Tasks

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of DevOps to lead our infrastructure, deployment, and operational excellence strategies across all blockchain and product platforms. This role is critical to ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across Caiz’s ecosystem, including wallets, blockchain nodes, smart contracts, APIs, and cloud environments.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in DevOps, cloud architecture, blockchain infrastructure, and team leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and evolve the DevOps strategy, tools, and pipelines to support the development, testing, and deployment of Caiz’s blockchain and crypto products.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure as code (IaC) to enable efficient and scalable product delivery.
• Design and manage secure, high-availability cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) for production and staging environments.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams to ensure systems are resilient, secure, and compliant with best practices.
• Optimize blockchain node deployment, monitoring, and maintenance processes.
• Implement real-time monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response systems for proactive system health management.
• Manage and mentor a growing DevOps and infrastructure team.
• Lead disaster recovery planning, data backup strategies, and failover systems.
• Continuously evaluate new tools and technologies to improve deployment and operational efficiency.

Requirements

Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure engineering, with 3+ years in a leadership or director-level role.
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, etc.).
• Deep understanding of IaC (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation).
• Proven experience with blockchain infrastructure deployment and maintenance (e.g., node setup, smart contract environments).
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc.) and familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
• Solid understanding of security, networking, and performance optimization.
• Experience managing globally distributed teams and working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with blockchain protocols (e.g., Ethereum, Bitcoin, or custom chains).
• Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 or other security/compliance frameworks.
• Understanding of Islamic finance is a plus.

Level of studies: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Language Requirements: Fluent in English
