Business Process Engineer Third-Party Risk Management (f/m/d)

The Business Process Engineer for Third-Party Risk Management is responsible for designing, optimizing, and continuously improving the end-to-end processes that support the identification, assessment, monitoring, and management of third-party (vendor, supplier, outsourcing) risk across the organization.The role bridges risk management requirements with operational execution, translating regulatory and policy requirements (e.g., DORA, outsourcing guidelines) into efficient, scalable, and auditable workflows.This role will be based in Frankfurt.What you will doProcess Design & Optimization: Map, analyse, and redesign TPRM lifecycle processes (onboarding, due diligence, risk assessment, contracting, ongoing monitoring, offboarding) to improve efficiency, consistency, and control effectivenessWorkflow & Tooling: design and implement defined TPRM workflow in the Sourcing & Procurement ServiceNow Platform. Configure, enhance, and maintain workflow tools (e.g. ServiceNow, Databricks) that support process execution and data captureAlign and harmonize the Procurement and TPRM workflows as an integrated workflowRequirements Translation: Work with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Procurement to translate regulatory obligations (such as DORA ICT third-party risk requirements) and internal policy into operational process steps and control points as part of the workflowDocumentation & Governance: Create and maintain process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), RACI matrices, and control documentation; ensure processes are inventoried and governed per internal EUC/process governance standardsReporting: Define and track process KPIs/KRIs (e.g., cycle times, SLA adherence, backlog, exception rates) to support management reporting and continuous improvementStakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between TPRM, business units, IT, Procurement, and second-line risk functions to ensure process changes are understood, adopted, and sustainableChange Management: Lead process changes initiatives, including impact assessment, testing, training, and rollout of new or revised proceduresAI and Continuous Improvement: Identify automation opportunities (e.g., Multi AI Agent orchestration, workflow automation, questionnaire logic, risk scoring rules) and work with relevant teams to implement them, subject to governance and review requirementsQuality & Control: Support internal audit, regulatory exam, and quality assurance activities by ensuring processes are well-documented, consistently applied, and evidencedRUN & Governance Responsibility: Ensure the Oversight and RUN activities for the Third-Party Risk Management teamWhat you bringBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field6+ years of experience in business process engineering, process improvement, or operations roles, ideally within financial services or asset managementPrior exposure to Third-Party Risk Management, vendor management, outsourcing oversight, or operational risk is highly desirableFamiliarity with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, BPMN) and process mapping toolsUnderstanding of relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., DORA, EBA/ESMA outsourcing guidelines) is a plusExperience with GRC or TPRM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Archer, OneTrust, or similar) or Databricks preferredBeing a team playerStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProactive and client-centric approach, combining diplomacy and assertivenessProficiency in English required, further languages would be highly helpful, German is a plusAI Skills such as Microsoft Copilot, Feature Engineering, Data EngineeringWhat we offerWe empower our employees by ensuring flexible work arrangements that maintain a balance between performance, productivity, career development and personal priorities (e.g., hybrid model/ flexible working hours)Securing your future: Access to company pension/savings plansFamily support (relocation/ childcare facilities)Company share purchasing planMental health and wellbeing programsMobility solutions (Jobrad bike leasing, subvention Jobticket)Career opportunities within the entire Allianz GroupSelf-guided learning & development… and so much more!About Allianz Global InvestorsAllianz Global Investors is a leading active asset manager, managing assets for individuals, families, and institutions worldwide.
