Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager VAT (m/f/diverse) in Frankfurt am Main or Hannover to support our VAT function and our business operations with expert VAT advice. 

• Providing VAT advisory across the Group to ensure robust VAT compliance and support to mitigate VAT risks
• Ensure VAT compliance by timely and accurate filings
• Support and perform VAT registrations
• Work alongside with professional tax advisors to obtain accurate, timely and practical advice on VAT matters
• Monitor new VAT legislation and advise business operations on their impact on the business
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance VAT reporting and compliance
• Support tax team and operating entities from a VAT perspective
• Support with tax audits
• Strong knowledge in EU chain transactions and triangular supplies

Qualifications

The ideal candidate (m/f/diverse) will possess the following

qualifications

• Academic degree in tax, economy, or law; professional tax certifications are a plus, but not a must have (e.g., Steuerberater)
• Several years of experience in the field of VAT (German VAT Act and EU VAT Directive), ideally in a multinational corporation or a Big Four environment
• Strong understanding of domestic and international tax regulations
• Proven experience in working with tax authorities and managing tax matters in multiple jurisdictions
• Fluent German and good English skills
