By the end of the summer, your resume could say: **Activity Leader and Language Immersion Specialist** _Alpadia Language Schools, 2026_ _As a full-time, seasonal staff member of Alpadia Language School’s language immersion camps, I served as group leader and language immersion guide for 13–17-year-old students coming from every continent. My 24-hour responsibilities included supporting student’s social, emotional, and cultural development, designing and guiding excursions with 20-40 participants, diverse skill transfer through activity facilitation, child safeguarding and risk management. Working in an innovative, fast-paced, highly collaborative work environment also allowed me to develop crucial competences in solution-focused conflict management, child development and language teaching._ ## Job Description Our Activity Leaders are responsible for delivering fun and engaging activities and excursions to a group of international students, following Alpadia’s innovative approach to language immersion and experiential learning. You will be working closely with other Activity Leaders and Teachers, ensuring our students have a meaningful, adventurous time in camp, full of learning and personal growth, while offering your expert supervision and safety. Additionally, you’ll take an active role in the day-to-day operations of camp via attendance checks, helping out during wake-ups and bedtime, and leading camp-wide Evening Programs. ## Qualifications **Essential Criteria** * Experience working with children or young people in a professional capacity * **Some German proficiency (spoken B1-B2 minimum),** ability to learn activity-specific vocabulary to ensure language immersion * Fluency in English * High physical, mental and emotional resilience * Experience in meaningful, professional teamwork * High energy level, excitement and comfort speaking in front of large groups * Availability at least 5 weeks of the summer. **Desired Criteria** * Fluency in German and English * Experience in outdoor education or summer camps * Driver’s License, and ability to drive a minivan * Availability for the entire summer season (June 20 – August 8) and during in-person training at the camp's location (June 17-20) ## Additional Information **What we offer** * A weekly summer salary of 710-720 EUR * 3 days of pre-summer staff training on language immersion, child development, outdoor facilitation and solution-focused, positive behavior support and conflict resolution techniques * First Aid and CPR Certification * Full Room and Board during the entirety of the summer * Travel Reimbursement up to 160 EUR * Recommendation Bonuses for other staff members that you send our way * a chance to grow and develop your skills as an educator while working in a team of dedicated youth work professionals throughout the summer.
