Walter is recruiting for aGlobal Inventory Manager (m/f/d)We are looking for an experienced Global Inventory Manager with proven experience in inventory management, supply chain planning or a closely related field. Candidates with planning experience should additionally demonstrate leadership experience, managerial or functional. The successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders across Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, Product Management and Finance to optimize inventory performance and support business objectives.Location: Tübingen / Eschborn, preferably near a Walter office in EuropeYour Mission: The holder of the position is responsible for ensuring that inventories are closely monitored, pro-actively controlled and aligned with our global targets. The function includes – besides other - following tasks:Oversee the global inventory levels and team up with Global planning function to ensure alignment with both, service targets and NWC goals.Establish and improve key inventory KPIs, such as Inventory Health metrics, Days in Inventory and Obsolete/Slow-Moving Inventory, creating visibility in collaboration and strengthening role and organizational clarityEnsure that global quantities are balanced according to globalization strategy.Conduct various analysis of inventory levels and coordinate with the requirements of relevant stakeholders, e.g. planning, finance, production and sales.Setting clear performance targets and establish effective Inventory Control Programs, over various types of inventoriesIdentify needs for and drive necessary change projects to allow efficient control over the global inventoriesAct as the global point of contact for inventory and networking capital (NWC) mattersYour Profile:University Degree in economics or engineering (min BSc, preferably MSc or similar)5+ years planning experience.
