Overview of the Division

The Institutional Client Group (ICG) within Deutsche Bank’s Investment Bank manages relationships with institutional clients across the full spectrum of fixed income and currencies products. The division combines Deutsche Bank’s global platform with deep regional expertise, supporting clients in navigating increasingly complex market, regulatory and operational environments.

Overview of the Role

The FX Execution Advisory role sits at the intersection of FX sales, electronic trading, and workflow solutions. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to institutional clients on FX execution strategy, electronic trading adoption, and workflow optimisation, with a strong focus on execution quality, governance, and risk management.

The role combines client-facing advisory responsibilities with deep product expertise across electronic FX, execution algorithms, NDFs, metals, and workflow / FX-as-a-Service solutions. The position will closely collaborate with FX Sales, Trading, eFX Product, Workflow Solutions, and broader FIC franchise teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise institutional clients on FX execution strategy and best execution.

• Support onboarding and adoption of electronic FX and workflow solutions.

• Guide clients on liquidity access, venue selection, and execution methodologies.

• Promote eFX offerings (Autobahn FX, algos, MDPs) and workflow automation.

• Identify optimisation opportunities using analytics and transaction cost analysis.

• Partner with FX Sales, Trading, and Product teams to drive commercial outcomes.

• Represent the franchise at client meetings, workshops, and events.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of FX markets, execution dynamics, and electronic trading.

• Experience in FX sales, execution advisory, e‑trading, or workflow solutions.

• Ability to engage institutional clients credibly on execution and market structure.

• Strong analytical skills, including interpreting execution data and trading patterns.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management.

• Technical familiarity with e‑trading platforms, algos, TCA, Excel; Python beneficial.

• Fluency in English and German, an additional Central European or Russian language would be beneficial.
