About the job

Within the Synthetics platform of Sanofi’s Global CMC organization, we are offering a position for a senior scientist within the DP Design team in Frankfurt which has an interdisciplinary scientific scope covering of formulation, biopharmacy and analytics. As part of the team you will support the development of new medications from research to clinical testing by developing pre-clinical and clinical formulations in close interaction with global CMC and project teams.

Main responsibilities:

• Act as formulation expert and representative in global R&D project teams for pre-clinical and clinical formulation development
• Provide formulation strategies/solutions and early biopharmaceutical risk evaluations to project teams enabling proper candidate profiling, selection and development
• Responsible for the supply of various pre-clinical studies
• Evaluation, interpretation and presentation of data and Progress
• Manage close interaction and exchange with global CMC functions, pharmacokinetics, pre-clinical safety, medicinal chemistry and the therapeutic areas
• Contribute to the continuous evolution of methods, analytics, way of working and formulation strategies as part of the DP Design team
• Laboratory management – including equipment and documentation
• Instruction and training of technicians

About you

• Ph.D. in pharmaceutical or related natural sciences
• Strong scientific background in formulation development
• Experience in biopharmaceutical experimentation and modelling
• German: spoken with confidence to ensure proper communication with lab staff
• English: excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills

Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs.

Please note that for Tariff positions in Germany, compensation is based on the federal collective bargaining agreement of the chemical industry.
