Mandarin Speaking ITO Team Leader in TELECOMS

This role is for a MANDARIN speaker with a background in Data Centre Operations / Infrastructure and Network Construction in the Telecoms Industry. In this role you will be overseeing the teams in Frankfurt that install network, server, storage, cloud, and data centre infrastructure for a global business. The work is varied, very autonomous and interesting and there could be some travel involved in Europe as well as direct reporting to clients. Nice job and plenty of independence!

DUTIES

Facilities, Operations & Maintenance

• Take responsibility for facilities management, daily operations, maintenance, asset management, and TPM activities within the IDC environment.
• Serve as the B‑role for key operational positions, able to step in during emergencies to ensure business continuity.

Equipment & Site Operations

• Be fully familiar with IDC equipment including switches, servers, cabling, and installation standards.
• Carry out site surveys, on‑site operational tasks, minor installations, and provide accurate problem feedback when required.

Work Order & SOP Compliance

• Operate work order systems efficiently and strictly follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
• Ensure all work orders are completed with zero misoperation and in full compliance with SLA requirements.

Incident Response & Emergency Handling

• Respond rapidly to incidents in accordance with incident management guidelines.
• Arrive on‑site promptly, handle faults following EOPs (Emergency Operating Procedures), and report updates in a timely manner.

Infrastructure Knowledge & Troubleshooting

• Understand IDC electrical, HVAC, and low‑voltage systems, including their working principles.
• Accurately identify fault points and restore services quickly if an outage.

Monitoring, Capacity & Availability Management

• Support infrastructure monitoring, capacity planning, safety management, and availability management tasks.
• Contribute to improving operational efficiency and system stability.

Asset & Environment Safety Compliance

• Follow IDC asset safety standards and comply strictly with asset SOPs for the handling, logging, and tracking of equipment.

Training & Team Development

• Conduct internal training based on job responsibilities to improve team competency and enhance customer interview pass rates.
• Deliver ITO project training (e.g., SOP & EOP training) for new employees.

Onsite Process & Technical Management

• Oversee onsite ITO operational processes and provide technical guidance to ensure consistent service delivery and high‑quality operations.

REQUIREMENTS

Education

• Associate degree (full‑time) or above, or equivalent qualification.
• Major in Electrical Engineering, HVAC, Computer Science, or related fields.

Work Experience

• 3+ years of industry experience.
• 3+ years of hands‑on IDC or infrastructure‑related operational experience.

Skills

• Basic knowledge of infrastructure systems and IDC operations.
• Understanding of electrical, mechanical, monitoring, and safety systems in data centres.
