Introduction

Our client is a globally active chemical organisation supplying technically complex products that must comply with a wide range of international chemical regulations. Product stewardship, regulatory compliance, and digitalised compliance processes are core to the business, ensuring products are developed, classified, registered, and maintained in line with evolving legislation worldwide.

As global frameworks such as REACH, CLP, GHS, and REACH-like regulations continue to expand, the company is investing heavily in SAP EHS, regulatory systems, and scalable compliance processes - including an upcoming S/4HANA implementation. To support this, they are seeking a Regulatory and Product Safety Specialist to join their international team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain, and manage Safety Data Sheets (SDS) using SAP EHS
• Perform classification and labelling of substances and mixtures under CLP and GHS
• Maintain substance and raw material data, including regulatory notifications and lifecycle updates
• Coordinate and support chemical registrations under EU REACH and REACH-like regulations (e.g. KKDIK)
• Ensure ongoing compliance of existing product portfolios through dossier updates and regulatory monitoring
• Act as an internal regulatory advisor to R&D, Product Management, Supply Chain, and Sales
• Support audits, customer requests, and internal compliance reviews
• Contribute to SAP EHS optimisation projects, including S/4HANA implementation and process harmonisation

Key Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, Biology, or a related scientific discipline
• 3-5 years' experience in Regulatory Affairs, Product Stewardship, or Chemical Compliance
• Strong working knowledge of EU REACH, CLP, GHS, and SDS authoring
• Practical experience with SAP EHS (S/4HANA exposure is an advantage, not a requirement)
• Understanding of chemical substance registration, mixture classification, and regulatory lifecycle management
• Structured, detail-oriented working style with strong system affinity
• Confident communicator in cross-functional and international environments
