As our European operations continue to grow, we're looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team on a major project in Frankfurt, Germany .

Whether you're a recent Quantity Surveying graduate or have some construction industry experience, this is an exciting opportunity to develop your commercial career while working alongside experienced professionals on large-scale international projects.

This is a site-based rotational position , so you'll need to be comfortable working away from home on a rotational basis. Flights and accommodation are provided.

The Role

Reporting to the Commercial Manager , you'll support the commercial delivery of projects from tender stage through to final account, gaining exposure to every aspect of Quantity Surveying on high-value construction projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the preparation of tenders and pricing submissions.
• Carrying out quantity take-offs and preparing Bills of Quantities.
• Supporting interim valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Assisting with procurement and supplier negotiations.
• Monitoring project costs, budgets and cash flow.
• Maintaining accurate commercial records and site documentation.
• Assisting with subcontractor management and payment applications.
• Supporting value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
• Working closely with the Commercial Manager, Project Managers and site teams.
• Carrying out site measurements and progress assessments.
• Ensuring contractual documentation is maintained accurately and on time.
• Supporting the successful commercial delivery of projects from start to finish.

Requirements

About You

We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, ambitious and eager to build a long-term career in Quantity Surveying.

Essential Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related construction discipline, or relevant construction industry experience .
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full driving licence.
• Willingness to work away from home on a rotational basis in Frankfurt, Germany .

Desirable

• Experience working on roofing, cladding, façade or building envelope projects.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project or commercial software.
