Your area of work

As an intern (f/m/d) you will support the team in the Purchasing department significantly in processing Purchasing Requests for marketing/events and business travel related content management.

Your responsibilities:

• Support the operational processing of purchase orders, with a particular focus on marketing and event‑related services
• Gain hands‑on insights into communicating and negotiating with external suppliers, enhancing commercial and interpersonal skills
• Collaborate closely with internal business departments to ensure smooth information flow and alignment on procurement needs
• Assist in managing and updating travel‑related content on our corporate travel booking platforms
• Develop an understanding of negotiations within the travel sector, including interactions with airlines and other travel service providers
• Acquire practical experience using key procurement and travel systems, especially SAP S/4HANA and SAP Concur

Your profile:

• You are enrolled during the entire period of activity at a state-recognized university as a regular student and have completed at least 3 semesters (Study focus in the field of economics (BWL/VWL), business informatics, business studies, or other relevant fields)
• Ideally, you have already gained first practical experience in the context of procurement or business administration (e.g. experience abroad, internships) / in the marketing, events or travel management area
• You are interested in procurement processes, supplier management, and understanding how corporate marketing and travel services are purchased and coordinated
• Thanks to your structured way of working, strong communication skills, and proactive mindset, you quickly find your way into the team. Your affinity for numbers and analytical abilities help you to familiarise yourself with new topics efficiently
  
• You have good knowledge in MS Office (especially Excel and Word); experience with SAP (S/4HANA, SAP Concur) and Outlook is an advantage
• You are fluent in written and spoken English
