Enterprise Project Management (EPM) acts as AllianzGI's in-house consulting unit, covering global and functional projects across the Asset Management value chain. Operating within a fast-paced, agile environment, the global team plays a critical role in driving the successful delivery of strategic initiatives and contributing to the firm's overall success.

The ideal candidate will bring a well-rounded skill set, including strong project management capabilities, relevant experience within the Asset Management industry, and a solid understanding of solutions for internal clients (e.g. Investments, Operations, or other functions). Familiarity with sustainability and regulatory topics impacting the industry, as well as exposure to technical applications within Asset Management, is considered advantageous.

As part of a highly skilled and specialised team within Enterprise Project Management, you will take ownership of developing the Operations Strategy and Target Operating Model (TOM), ensuring alignment with strategic requirements. In addition, you will lead and drive the implementation of related initiatives and projects, contributing to the ongoing optimisation of AllianzGI's capabilities.

This position will be based in Frankfurt or Munich.

What you will do

  • Gather and translate business requirements by working closely with stakeholders across Operations, Data & Technology, Investments, Product and Client functions
  • Lead the design and implementation of target operating models (TOMs), innovative solutions and functional enhancements in collaboration with subject matter experts
  • Drive project delivery end-to-end, ensuring early consideration of IT, legal, tax, risk, accounting and regulatory constraints (scope, timeline, budget)
  • Take ownership of large-scale transformation programmes, particularly in shaping and evolving the Operations Target Operating Model
  • Act as an internal consultant by independently managing multiple projects, prioritising effectively and escalating where required
  • Design and optimise operational models, workflows and data/technology solutions, while coordinating internal and external stakeholders (e.g. custodians, administrators, IT providers) and ensuring high quality, compliance and client satisfaction
What you bring

  • Excellent university degree in Business Administration, Economics, IT, Engineering or related field of study
  • Ideally at least 5 years' experience in management or IT consulting or working in relevant departments of an Investment Management company
  • Experience in running large size projects, international programs
  • Experience in introducing and leading change
  • Experience in project/budget/business case calculations as well as conducting RfIs / RfPs
  • Ability to run waterfall, hybrid and agile projects
  • Solid understanding of the Investment Management business and value chain of front-, middle and back-office functions
  • Solid understanding of the regulatory framework for investment managers, insurance investors and funds domiciled in Europe
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels and across multiple jurisdictions
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Hands-on, social, diplomatic team player with leadership skills
  • Ability to work well in an international, diverse and highly interdisciplinary environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Fluency in English, additional language skills are a plus
  • Professional knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, in particular MS PowerPoint and MS Excel
  • Experience in a programming language, e.g. Python or SQL would be useful
