AI Expert / Architect

The AI Expert / AI Architect is responsible for defining, implementing, and governing the AI strategy within the department. The role ensures that AI initiatives are aligned with our client's strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and technology landscape, while enabling innovation and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

AI Strategy & Architecture:

Define the department's AI strategy and roadmap.

Design end‑to‑end AI/ML and GenAI architectures.

Evaluate and select AI platforms, tools.

Design and implement agentic workflows, tool use, and (where needed) multi-agent/A2A patterns

Governance & Compliance

Establish AI governance standards.

Maintain documentation and controls aligned with the client's data governance and responsible AI expectations.

Implementation & Technical Leadership

Lead delivery of AI solutions with data/platform teams, Data Engineering, DevOps, and IT Security.

Define technical requirements and oversee integration with banking systems.

Optimize model performance and data pipelines.

Define test strategies and automated evaluations for LLM/agent behavior; drive regression, safety, and robustness improvements.

Business Engagement

Identify high‑value AI use cases with business stakeholders.

Translate business needs into technical solutions.

Communicate results and recommendations to management.

Innovation

Run PoCs and pilot GenAI and ML initiatives.

Track AI trends and propose new opportunities.

Skills

Must have

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, Data Science, or similar

Experience: 7-10 years in IT, including 4-5 years in AI/ML/Applied AI with a proven track record of delivering production AI solutions that drive measurable business impact

Experience in enterprise AI architecture

Experience with at least one major cloud platform: Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure (GCP preferred)

Strong Python proficiency, Object-Oriented Programming (SOLID principles), and efficient use of data structures & algorithms

Hands-on experience with modern AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX

Hands-on experience building LLM-powered applications, with experience in agentic and/or multi-agent patterns

Hands-on experience with agent/orchestration frameworks (e.g., ADK, Dialogflow, or similar)

Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and unit testing frameworks (e.g. PyTest, JUnit)

Experience deploying services such as BigQuery and Cloud Run (or comparable managed data/compute services)

Strong understanding of data fundamentals relevant to AI products (ingestion, data quality, preprocessing, feature creation, and query optimization)

Cloud architectures, APIs, data pipelines, security best practices

Must maintain a strong, active presence within the relevant AI community

Must be able to demonstrate comparable experience with clients in Financial Services, Automotive, or Telecommunications

Strategic thinking and problem‑solving

Strong communication and stakeholder management

Nice to have

GCP/Azure/AWS AI certifications, TOGAF, ML/AI certifications.

Banking experience is a strong plus.
