Construction Manager

Spencer Ogden is currently supporting a client on a major Data Centre development in Frankfurt and is looking for an experienced MEP Construction Manager to join the project team on a freelance basis.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the coordination and delivery of mechanical and electrical construction activities on site, working closely with subcontractors, package teams, commissioning and project management.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day MEP construction activities on site
• Coordinate mechanical and electrical subcontractors
• Monitor construction progress against programme and key milestones
• Ensure works are delivered in line with project specifications, quality requirements and HSE standards
• Manage interfaces between mechanical, electrical, CSA and commissioning teams
• Identify and resolve site issues affecting programme or installation
• Lead coordination meetings with subcontractors and relevant project stakeholders
• Monitor work readiness, installation progress and upcoming construction activities
• Support inspections, snagging, testing and handover
• Work closely with commissioning teams to ensure systems are ready for testing

Requirements

• Previous experience working as an MEP Construction Manager, MEP Manager, Electrical Construction Manager or Mechanical Construction Manager
• Strong site-based construction experience
• Experience managing subcontractors and multiple MEP packages
• Previous Data Centre / Mission Critical experience strongly preferred
• Background within large-scale technical construction projects
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services
• Comfortable working within fast-paced project environments
• English required; German would be advantageous
• Available to work on site in the Frankfurt area

Experience from data centres, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, advanced manufacturing or other mission-critical environments will be considered.

This is a long-term freelance opportunity on a major Data Centre project in the Frankfurt region.
