Network Security Designer (M/W/D) - System Integrator

You will design secure networks, work with teams to align security with business goals, and lead the setup of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security tools. You’ll also assess risks, suggest improvements, and ensure compliance with industry standards. This role requires solid knowledge of network protocols, security frameworks, and hands-on experience with security devices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Development: Plan, evolve, and improve network infrastructures tailored to the needs of financial sector clients. Ensure scalability, maintainability, and alignment with current technologies.
• Operational Excellence: Support live environments by managing capacity, performance, and availability. Collaborate closely with operational teams to implement and optimise new solutions.
• Client Engagement: Act as a technical point of contact for service requests and project-based assignments. Participate in client consultations, proposals, and tender processes.
• Innovation & Portfolio Development: Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the MSP’s network and security portfolio. Drive manufacturer certifications and introduce new technologies that improve service delivery.
• Concept & Documentation: Develop tailored technical concepts and architectures for unique client requirements, supported by clear documentation.

Skills/Must have:

• A degree in Networking, engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Broad understanding of network and security infrastructure, ideally within a service provider or financial environment.
• Hands-on experience in planning and operating complex networks, preferably Cisco-based or solid knowledge of security platforms such as F5, Checkpoint, or Fortinet.
• Strong communication skills in German (C1+) and English (B2+).
