With continued growth across Germany, they are expanding their engineering team to support the delivery of large-scale, high-profile installation projects in corporate environments.

Role Description

Our client is looking for an experienced Field Engineer to lead the on-site delivery of enterprise Audio Visual (AV) installation projects across Germany. Acting as the senior technical representative on site, you'll coordinate installation teams, subcontractors and project stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with a strong AV installation background who enjoys taking ownership, solving technical challenges and leading teams in the field. You'll predominantly be based around Frankfurt with regular travel to customer sites across Germany, including overnight stays during project delivery. The company also offers full support towards professional certifications and ongoing technical development.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead on-site delivery of enterprise AV installation projects from start to completion.

• Manage and coordinate installation engineers, subcontractors and commissioning teams on site.

• Act as the primary technical contact between the project team, clients and contractors.

• Monitor project progress, quality and safety, escalating issues where required.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and installation documentation.

• Provide daily project updates and progress reports to Project Managers.

• Ensure installations meet company quality standards and project deadlines.

• Mentor and support junior engineers while maintaining a safe, organised working environment.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience delivering commercial Audio Visual (AV) installation projects.

• Previous experience leading engineers or supervising work on customer sites.

• Strong knowledge of AV systems, networking and low-voltage installations.

• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and make confident on-site decisions independently.

• Fluent German with good working English.

• Full driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across Germany, including overnight stays.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Right to work in Germany.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• AVIXA CTS or CTS-I certification (or willingness to achieve with company sponsorship).

• Experience working on large corporate workplace fit-out projects.

• Background progressing through AV installation roles (Installation Engineer, Senior Engineer, Lead Engineer or similar).
