About the RoleAs Subregional Head of Security, you will lead and execute the security strategy across the subregion, ensuring the protection of Digital Realty’s assets, compliance with global standards, and uninterrupted operations. Reporting to the Regional Director of Security, you will act as a key advisor to leadership while managing security operations, risks, and a high-performing team across multiple sites.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and implement security strategy and global policies across the subregionOversee security operations, incident management, and risk mitigationManage and develop Security Managers and external vendors, ensuring strong performanceOwn security budgets, vendor selection, and cost optimizationEnsure compliance with ISO, SOC2, PCI and other regulatory standardsOversee physical security systems (CCTV, access control, biometrics) and site protectionLead audits, reporting, and customer-facing security activitiesDrive continuous improvement of security processes and resilienceYour ProfileProven experience in security leadership across multiple sites or regionsStrong expertise in risk management, security operations, and compliance frameworksExperience managing security vendors and outsourced servicesStrategic mindset combined with hands-on leadership capabilityExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsFluent in German and EnglishResilient, proactive, and able to operate effectively in a complex matrix organizationA bit about us Digital Realty is the leading provider of carrier and cloud neutral data centre services by delivering the full spectrum of data center, colocation and interconnection solutions.
