The Insurance Asset Management team provides innovative solutions for life, health, property and casualty and reinsurance companies. The Insurance Asset Management team is responsible for selling a broad spectrum of products across all asset classes, including private debt, private equity, infrastructure, real estate, fixed income and equities. In addition, the Insurance Asset Management team collaborates with clients on topics, including asset allocation, risk budgeting and asset / liability management. Globally focused, our Insurance Asset Management team manages general account insurance assets for clients across Europe, North America, Bermuda, Asia and the Middle East.HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIALAssociates are dedicated to supporting the efforts of the relationship management team to create new client relationships and expand existing client relationships:Assist in the development of strategic plans for individual clients, outlining a service plan and cross selling opportunities, and prospectsPartner with team members to coordinate prospect pitches, product presentations, and requests for proposalIdentify and escalate any sensitive client issues to senior team members; coordinate a timely response to the clientCoordinate with key stakeholders across the Division including Portfolio Managers, Product Managers, Legal, Technology, Operations and Compliance with a common goal of meeting clients’ needsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree and strong academic background required3+ years of work experience in asset management or related field a plusHighly organized with exceptional attention to detail and excellent follow-through Native German language skills are importantAbility to grasp problems described by clients, articulate the problems clearly to analyze the problem, and communicate the resulting analysis to clientsPositive attitude and strong work ethic Strong interpersonal skills: Ability to build trust and confidence of colleagues, strengthen relationships through ongoing dialogue and interactions, and collaborate well with others Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment Strong skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) Investment Management Certificate required, or obtained within 3 months of joiningABOUT GOLDMAN SACHS At Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
