Specialist Structured Export and Trade Finance

Your tasks

As an international foreign trade bank, Commerzbank serves numerous customers who export capital goods to buyers in both Emerging and Developed Markets. Medium- or long-term export financing is available for investment financing, covered by government export credit angencies. We are looking for an experienced specialist for the Structured Export & Trade Finance department, specifically for the Structuring and Product Development team. The Structuring team is responsible for leading transactions after origination to successful signing.

Responsibilities include:

• Further development and completion of complex financing structures in collaboration with clients, by applying high standards to customer satisfaction and adherence to all internal processes and requirements.
• Preparation of structured decision templates and confident handling of professional discussions with the risk department and other stakeholders.
• Preparation of ECA applications
• Coordination of the documentation process, including negotiations.
• Acting as a point of contact for all internal stakeholders.
• Contribution to the development and improvement of structuring standards and processes.

Your profile

• Degree in Economics or a comparable qualification
• Several years of practical experience in structuring ECA-backed export financing
• Extensive knowledge and practical experience in working with non-German export credit agencies are an advantage
• Strong customer-/service- and solution-oriented approach
• Experience in analyzing financials
• Ability to professionally coordinate complex processes, e.g., in coordinating lead roles
• Confident and poised demeanor
• Results-oriented, highly motivated, and persuasive character
• Intercultural understanding
• Very good German and/or English language skills; additional language skills are an advantage
