Lawyer / Qualified Lawyer Derivate

Your tasks

• Advice to the bank’s business and trading units on derivative transactions
• Negotiation of ISDA and other master agreements
• Structuring the transactions concluded under these agreements and managing their collateralization
• Hedging of interest rate, currency and commodities risks (in particular gas and power) and other risks
• Support to the trading colleagues re. access to trading venues, negotiation of contracts with brokers and the close-out netting of transactions.
• Your (internal) clients and potential counterparts are based in London and across the globe, making this role highly international
• Collaboration with other departments within the bank is important
• Teamwork
• Other topics within the department: repo and securities lending transactions, securities trading, custody and settlement of securities transactions, clearing
• Management of the bank’s netting infrastructure

Your profile

• Profile: • lawyer/qualified lawyer.
• strong analytical skills through above-average grades or distinguished exam results
• relevant professional experience in a law firm or company, ideally also in the field of derivatives or energy trading
• interest in capital markets law
• good communication skills
• very good English language skills, confident in negotiating in English
• enjoy working in a team
• working independently
• interest in solving legal issues in a practical, business-oriented way
