Backend / DevOps Engineer (f/x/m)

spotixx is a Frankfurt-based European FinTech building technology for the regulated financial sector. Since 2019, we have grown into a team of 60+ professionals with deep roots in the German and European banking landscape, shaped by years of hands-on experience in fraud investigation and financial crime prevention.

We specialize in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and fraud detection, enabling secure, compliant data exchange between financial institutions. Using data science and AI, we are helping shift the industry toward collaborative intelligence and more effective prevention.

TASKS

• Work with our stack on Google Cloud (BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Scheduler, Artifact Registry, Secret Manager) using Docker.
• Extend our existing Terraform and CI/CD setup and help keep delivery automated and reliable.
• Build and maintain backend services in Python with clean data structures and readable code.
• Build and maintain enrichment and ETL pipelines on BigQuery: SQL, scheduled queries, basic performance awareness.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience building and running services in production on Google Cloud.
• Solid Python, with care for clean structure and reliable data handling.
• Practical experience with Docker, Terraform and CI/CD; comfortable extending an existing setup.
• Fluent English (required). German is a plus but not necessary.
• Big plus: experience with regulated financial institutions or another regulated environmen
