Vicoland gives the professional services market a new dimension: Virtual Companies –
“Vicos”. We invented Vicos as a new type of supplier, more efficient than traditional
professional services firms (consultancies, system integrators, agencies etc.). On our AI-driven SaaS platform, freelance experts team up to form Vicos. AI agents integrate into these teams. The Vicos then act like real companies, competing successfully for large enterprise projects.

Already, 100+ Vicos with thousands of freelancers work on projects for enterprise clients like BASF, Miele, Siemens or Zeiss and many SMEs. They also serve leading professional services firms as subcontractors, including Accenture, Infosys and Roland Berger. Forbes and Forrester have named Vicoland as a leading force transforming the market.

Our SAP-certified platform provides the full digital infrastructure for forming and operating Vicos: marketing, finance, legal, organization – increasingly enhanced by AI agents as productive Vico members. An important focus of our growth lies in SAP services, ranging from S/4HANA transformations to highly specific SAP application modules.

We are scaling our go-to-market and need a leader who sells by shaping how enterprise clients and partners think about sourcing SAP expertise in the agentic era.

Our offer to you

As Strategic Business Development Director you combine four capabilities: deep SAP ecosystem knowledge, understanding of AI’s role in service delivery, strategic consulting skills, and entrepreneurial drive.

You challenge how your clients source, deliver and scale SAP projects – and you show them why the Vico model is structurally superior. You operate as a trusted advisor at C-level, translating Vicoland’s platform and AI capabilities into client-specific value scenarios.

You join our leadership team with end-to-end accountability: from market shaping and first pitch to delivery oversight and long-term account growth. You lead the Vicos serving your clients – acting as an entrepreneur leading entrepreneurs.

Tasks

Shape the market

  • Position Vicoland as the strategic alternative to traditional consulting and SI models – with enterprise clients and subcontracting partners alike.
  • Apply a Challenger Sale approach: question established sourcing models and demonstrate why Vicos deliver better outcomes.
  • Plan and implement mixed human / AI offers by Vicos.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies tailored to specific client contexts.
  • Build thought leadership through events and LinkedIn presence.

Win and grow clients

  • Develop and own a portfolio of enterprise clients and partners – from strategic outreach through close to long-term expansion.
  • Conduct consultative, insight-driven conversations at C-level. Translate the Vico model into concrete ROI scenarios for each client.
  • Identify cross- and upsell opportunities with a founder’s mindset. Build pipeline strategically, not only transactionally.

Lead Vicos in delivery

  • Supervise and coach Vico Leads in your client group – hold them accountable for delivery quality and commercial performance.
  • Activate new Vico Leads and set them up for success. Step in when needed to protect client relationships.

Drive AI into Business Development

  • Integrate Vicoland’s AI and agentic capabilities into client conversations – position the Vicoland platform and Vicos as AI-first.
  • Use AI tools actively in your own work and contribute to the evolution of AI-powered Vico members.

Shape the company

  • Contribute to Vicoland’s strategy as a member of the leadership team.
  • Bring market intelligence, client feedback, and competitive insight into the organization.
  • Help define how we scale – processes, tools, talent, culture.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in the SAP ecosystem – in consulting, system integration, or SAP-adjacent advisory/sales roles.
  • Consultative selling proven at C-level: you have won complex enterprise deals by advising, not just pitching.
  • Challenger mindset: you shape how clients think about SAP sourcing and are comfortable challenging senior stakeholders.
  • AI-affinity: you actively use AI tools and understand the strategic implications of agentic AI for professional services.
  • Entrepreneurial energy – you are drawn to building markets, not administering existing ones. Own entrepreneurial experience is a strong plus.
  • Experience leading teams or practices – you have managed people, not just projects.
  • Strong academic background, fast career progression, proven commercial impact.
  • Fluent in German and English (DACH is our home market, while we expand internationally).
  • Network power: client and talent connections in the SAP ecosystem are a strong plus.
