As a **Associate**, you will support the Trade & Working Capital Team in originating and structuring trade and working capital solutions for large corporate clients in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and in the Nordic countries. You will have responsibility for a set of dedicated customers for your cluster. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for: * Prepare and execute transactions, including for example applications for internal approval committees and alignment with all internal stakeholders relevant for execution, such as Banking, Private Debt Mobilisation (Syndication), Operations, Legal, Product, Working Capital Advisory, Compliance, IT, so as to provide a best-in-class service and seamless end to end origination and execution. * Support senior team members in identifying opportunities and assist in originating transactions within Trade & Working capital solutions for large corporate clients; prepare and deliver client presentations and actively support other sales and coverage initiatives. * Perform financial and strategic business analysis. * Adherence to internal processes and governance to ensure control and transparency over sales activity * Gather market intelligence and support in advising clients on all matters concerning Trade and Working Capital solutions. * Support managing the existing portfolio business and assist in enhancing the profitability and revenues in line with Santander’s requirements. * Support the team in external advocacy roles to continue build up Santander's branding and thought leadership. **WHAT YOU’LL BRING** Our people are our greatest strength. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. **Professional Experience** * Minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in banking and or Trade & Working Capital instruments and solutions (Required) * Customer facing and or sales experience is a plus (Preferred) **Education** * B.A. in Finance, Business Administration or equivalent or other university and business school qualifications, such as finance, law, engineering, math, physics, or economics, as examples.
