Network Security Engineer - IT Service Provider

Currently working on critical infrastructure projects across Germany, they are now looking for a Network Security Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Configure, deploy, and manage enterprise firewalls (Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Palo Alto).
• Support secure network infrastructure, including Layer 2/3 switches and routers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network and security issues (ACLs, VPNs, NAT, IPS/IDS).
• Assist with network hardening, documentation, and compliance efforts.
• Collaborate with project teams to implement secure, reliable network solutions.
• Occasionally, travel to client sites within Germany to support installations or upgrades.

Skills/Must have:

• Experience working in a network/security engineering role.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs).
• Hands-on experience with at least one major firewall platform (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.).
• Familiarity with VPN technologies and network segmentation best practices.
• Good troubleshooting skills and a proactive, security-focused mindset.
• Fluent in German.
• Willingness to travel as part of project-based work.
