Discover the Role

TMF Deutschland is seeking a finance officer who will work in partnership with the finance manager to execute improvements in internal finance. The candidate will have the opportunity working with all 3 finance streams (PTP, RTR, OTC) and perform revenue-generating work in the Accounting & Tax team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with RTR (and PTP) tasks
• Lead communication with tax advisors, banks, local regulators and clients (where necessary)
• Maintenance of physical documents (German entities are legally required to store documents for 6-10 years) and contracts
• Advise with treatment of complex transactions under German GAAP
• Coordinate the preparation of financial statements and tax assessments
• Perform revenue-generating work with the A&T team

Key Requirements

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field: certified accountant (IHK)
• The role requires German skills at near-native level and strong English proficiency
• Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB), IFRS, and German tax law
• Live in the Frankfurt area
• Be proactive, analytical and a problem solver
• Be proficient in Excel
